Pacific City Bridge Party – September 15/16th 2012
The 7th annual Pacific City Bridge party, sponsored by the Tillamook Bridge Club and the Anchorage Motel will be at the Kiawanda Community Center in Pacific City on September 15/16th 2012. We shall follow the same format as previous years.
The Bridge Party is a social event organized around 3 sessions of bridge. Saturday Sept 15th the first stratified pairs session will begin at 11 am. Then at approximately 2.30 we shall fire up the grills and cook lunch. We provide Burgers (choice of beef, turkey and salmon) plus beer, wine and soft drinks. The rest of the food is Pot-Luck. All players should try to bring a side dish, salad, dessert or other snack. In previous years we have had a wonderful spread. About 4 pm we'll play the second session. The cost for the two games plus food and drink is $25. After the second session, Martin and Barbara Hemens will host a party at their house next to the Anchorage Motel (bottles welcome). There will be live music at the party.
Sunday Sept 16th we shall have brunch at the Center at 10.30am. Again we shall provide some of the food but pot-luck contributions are encouraged. You know what bridge-players are like, they will eat all day. At 11 am we shall begin the Swiss teams and play until about 5 pm. All leftover food and drink (we have never run out of drink yet) will be consumed during the course of the day. The cost for the brunch and game is $15.
We would like to hear in advance who's coming although hopefully we can accommodate everyone at the last minute. Space is limited. We will also attempt to arrange partnerships and teams as needed.
