Pacific City Bridge Party
The 5th annual Pacific City Bridge party, sponsored by the Tillamook Bridge Club and the Anchorage Motel will be at the Kiawanda Community Center in Pacific City on May 8th and 9th 2010. Last year was so much fun that the format will be almost identical .
The Bridge Party is a great social event organized around 3 sessions of bridge. Unfortunately this year the event coincides with Mother's Day which might affect some of you. But other than that, the date is perfect – the Center is available, the directors are available and there are no other tournaments anywhere near.
Saturday May 8. The first stratified pairs session will begin at 11am. Then at approximately 2.30 we shall fire up the grills and cook lunch. About 4pm we'll play the second session. The cost for the two games plus food and drink is $20 plus a dish. After the second session the party will continue at Martin and Barbara's house next to the Anchorage Motel.
Sunday May 9. We shall have brunch at the Center at 10.30am. At 11am we shall begin the swiss teams and play until about 4pm. All leftover food and drink will need to be consumed at this time. The cost for the brunch and game is $12 plus a dish.
All players are encouraged to bring a contribution of food. We provide burgers (a choice of beef, turkey or salmon), all the trimmings, coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer and wine. We are looking for side dishes, salads, finger foods and desserts for the Saturday lunch and any additions to the Sunday brunch. Also a bottle or two for the Saturday evening party would help.
We would like to hear in advance who's coming although hopefully we can accommodate everyone at the last minute. We will also attempt to arrange partnerships and teams as needed.
